My name is Shane Jacobs, I'm twenty-one years old, I live in Los Angeles, California, and I have a strong passion for music and videography.
I specialize in directing, filming, and editing videos for electronic dance artists across the U.S.
There's a feeling you get when you’re lost in a great set--—the music, the environment, the lights, the people—it all blends into something surreal.
I strive to capture and recreate those immersive experiences so they can be shared with audiences around the world.
Growing up I was always fascinated with the latest technology including cameras and drones. I would film/edit my own fun projects together in middle school, and also film/edit for others trying to do the same thing.
I wanted to explore film as a whole deeper so I took film production courses for two years in high school. I collaborated on some okay projects (video)
I bought my first camera in 2020 when COVID came by, after two or three years of experimenting I reached out to some local restaurants and clothing brands and did a few free videos but I wanted something bigger.
I went to the club one night using my fake ID, filmed the DJ on my iPhone and that's when the thought of filming DJ's clicked. I reached out to the DJ via Instagram and ended up getting to film some small shows for his friends, still for free.
During this I went to college at SMC, strictly focused on film classes knowing what I wanted to learn, and I could tell things were clicking faster than they normally would.
I met the founder of a small record label at an underground rave in DTLA who had interest in my work. He asked if I was available the next night for my first paid gig.
From there it was every weekend, mostly the same place as they were his events, allowing me to have a field to train on but more importantly network with the other artists/individuals around me.
Soon enough I was gaining followers and getting low-paying, semi-consistent work--but it was enough for me to see a potential growing career.
I decided to leave my day-job and college after a year and a half to dedicate all my time and energy into the craft.
Two years later, 2025, I'm a partial owner of Club Level Records, and now travelling and filming with some of the biggest artists in the world discovering new ways to improve my work.
